Core Services

In order to assist our refugees with a smooth transition into their new life here in the United States, our multi-lingual, multi-cultural staff offers case management, supportive services, employment services and English language training.

Pre-arrival and Reception Services (0-30 days)

  • Coordination, Reception and Documentation
  • Meeting Refugees at Airport
  • Providing decent, safe and sanitary housing
  • Providing essentials and furnishings
  • Providing food, food allowance, and other basic necessities
  • Providing assistance for applying for Social Security cards and registration for school

Counseling and Referral Services (0-180 days)

  • Orientation (initial and monthly)
  • Case management
    • Intake and assessment
    • Interpretation and translation
    • Service referral
    • Intensive contact (daily-weekly contact)
    • Coordination of services (intra-agency and inter-agency)
    • Follow-up and transfer services
  • Health assessment and documentation
  • Job assessment and job placement
  • Educational assessment and support
  • Clinical assessment and support
  • Introduction of Marriage Family Support Services

Follow-up Services (180-365 days)

  • Level of continued support based on assessment/ need
  • Less intensive support/ outreach
  • Coordinated support with intra-agency and inter-agency partnership
  • Monthly orientations/ workshops
  • Crisis intervention
  • Follow-up with linked services (employment, clinical, education, daycare, housing, etc.)
