A Word from Our Director

We’ve just begun the new millennium, and we all know that there was more change in the past hundred years than in all the centuries before. It is indeed an exciting time to be on the journey of life. There are two things that have not changed in any measurable way during the past 2,000 years and those are Christ’s message and human nature. Our human nature and our free will are great gifts to be used for good or evil, for selfishness or kindness, for greed or action on behalf of the common good.

We are blessed to work in an organization that allows us to use our talents to respond to those in crisis. As one of the great mediating institutions in our society, we join with other faith communities, not-for-profit organizations, and families to assist those on the margins of our society to increase their capacity for self help. Our varied services touch the lives of more than 32,000 of your neighbors in every community, every parish, and every walk of life. We serve those in need while emphasizing the responsibility of all to promote the common good.
