Adoption Program goals and history Catholic Charities is one of the oldest child-placing agencies in Connecticut. For over 80 years, we have been dedicated to serving and preserving families and children of all races and religions.

Catholic Charities has always advocated the right of every child to have a loving, permanent home, and the agency encourages the adoption of children with special medical, emotional and psychological needs.

Our adoption program is licensed by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families. We provide a full range of services, including homestudies, for domestic, international, and special needs adoptions. In addition, search services are available to adult adoptees that are interested in learning about, connecting with, or reuniting with their birthparents.
