Migration and Refugee Services

Programs available

Employment services
The Job Unit has been fulfilling the employment needs of Connecticut employers since 1975. We maintain an employment rate greater than 75% of employable adult refugees. Refugees coming through our office are usually self-sufficient within four months.

Core Services
In order to assist our refugees with a smooth transition into their new life here in the United States, our multi-lingual, multi-cultural staff offers case management, supportive services, employment services, and English language
training.
For those who have no anchor relative here in the United States,
our staff and volunteers become a vital resource for a refugee's adjustment in their pursuit of a new life of freedom here in America.

Immigration/Naturalization Services
We collaborate with the International Institute of Connecticut to assist clients with immigration and naturalization issues, including processing necessary forms for "Green Cards" and other immigration benefits.
