Program Goals and History

At Catholic Charities our goal is to promote the highest standards of excellence in child care as well as to strengthen the whole family through additional educational and support services. Our child care program has been in operation since 1991.

We offer quality, state-licensed, full-time child care for infants through pre-school. Our program prides itself on a Center-Family Partnership and strongly encourages parent participation. Children with special needs are welcome.

A comprehensive School Readiness Program is a core component at each of our day care centers. In addition to our own programs, we provide consultation services to local day care providers in the community.

Our programs are licensed by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families as Child Guidance Clinics and by the Connecticut Department of Public Health. We are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, Inc. Our individual centers are also accredited or undergoing accreditation by either the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) or the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).
