Welcome to Catholic Charities, Archdiocese of Hartford Connecticut! Our agency has been a licensed,
accredited social service arm of the Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Hartford (Hartford,
Litchfield & New Haven Counties) for more than 90 years.
Our agency serves 25,000 people of all faiths annually on a need basis from 42 locations throughout
Connecticut. Some of the services we offer to those in need of support are: Pregnancy Counseling;
Services to Elderly; Youth Services; Family & Individual Counseling; Migration & Refugee Services;
Residential Services for Developmentally Disabled Adults and much more.
We employ more than five hundred social service professionals ranging from early learning specialists to
licensed care social workers to psychologists and
psychiatrists to ensure we provide the best for our
communities.
Catholic Charities distributes over 90% of the donated
dollars to clients from a balanced budget of
$24,000,000, and we are funded by the Archbishop’s
Annual Appeal, federal and state grants, the United
Way, client fees and gifts from individuals,
corporations, and foundations.
We hope that you will hear or read more about us in your local parish bulletin; in The Catholic Transcript;
on Crossroads, the weekly program of the Archdiocesan Office of Radio and Television; or on WJMJ Radio,
the official radio station of the Archdiocese. Of course, the best publicity is the good word that you and
your family can spread about Catholic Charities!
In closing, on behalf of all whom we serve, I would like to say thank you for your very generous support
throughout the year in helping us to deliver our services. Your continued generosity makes the crucial
difference – from families who need housing – to children who need a better start in life – to our elderly
who need proper care! Thank you – we could not do all that we do without your help!
May all of God’s blessings be with you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Rose Alma Senatore
Chief Executive Officer
