Alcohol Awareness Month: It’s OK to seek help

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, a time to focus on increasing understanding of the dangers of excessive consumption and reducing the stigma associated with alcoholism. If you or someone you know is struggling with alcohol use, it’s OK to get help.

We have Behavioral Health clinics in Hartford, New Haven, Torrington, and Waterbury that can help people who are struggling. Visit www.ccaoh.org/bh to find the one nearest you.

During the week of April 8-12, we shared facts about alcohol found on the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services website.
