Below is a list of groups and programs at the Behavioral Health clinics operated by Catholic Charities in Hartford, New Haven, Torrington, and Waterbury.

“Learning About Healthy Living: Tobacco and You”
Thursdays, hour group sessions — Spanish 10:30-11:30 a.m., English 3:30-4:30 p.m.
For adults who want to be healthy and find new habits that support their wellbeing. Kicking the cigarette habit can be beneficial for adults with high blood pressure, diabetes, weight problems, and cardiac concerns. Group sessions led by Case Managers in the Behavioral Health Clinic at the Institute for the Hispanic Family (IHF). Call 860-527-1124.

Fatherhood Initiative Program

A voluntary group program to help men become strong forces in their children’s lives. Meet with other fathers and learn about services that help participants become more economically stable and employable.

Women’s trauma group
Tuesdays, 1-2:30 p.m.; 7 sessions
For women struggling with grief and loss due to losing a loved one, experiencing significant trauma, or abuse (physical, emotional or psychological). Click to read more.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Meets 3 times a week, 3 hours each meeting
For people struggling with severe anxiety, depression or other mental disorders; beneficial for people needing more than 1 session per week but not in-patient care with around-the-clock care.
