Catholic Charities USA launches media campaign

“We Are There” is a foundational calling for our essential work and also the title of a national awareness campaign launched last week by Catholic Charities USA, the membership organization for the 168 Catholic Charities agencies that cover every inch of the United States.

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford is joining with the Catholic Charities networks around the country to participate in We Are There in order to highlight the life-giving services Catholic Charities agencies provide in their local communities. There are 3,900 collective locations spread out across the United States and its five territories that served more than 15 million people and provided more than 30 million meals to those in need last year.

The video PSA above provided by Catholic Charities USA features Jandel, a middle school student from Hartford playing violin in our Community Schools program.

For more than a century, Catholic Charities has been providing help and creating hope for people of all ages, backgrounds, and faiths throughout the Archdiocese of Hartford, which covers Hartford, Litchfield, and New Haven counties. The programs we offer here are similar to the services provided at Catholic Charities agencies around the country, although we each tailor our programs to meet the unique needs of the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Catholic Charities USA, the national membership organization for Catholic Charities agencies, organized and launched the We Are There campaign. Over the coming months, the campaign will raise awareness for the work of Catholic Charities through a variety of national media outlets. Here in Connecticut, Catholic Charities Archdiocese of Hartford will continue to highlight the different ways we aid and accompany our neighbors in need.
