The Cat in the Hat and the Lorax visited the students in the Early Childhood program at the Institute for the Hispanic Family in Hartford, where they have been celebrating Dr. Seuss all week. This morning, they enjoyed a special Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with the Foster Grandparents who spend time with the children in a program organized by Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Staff from that agency were also at IHF this morning to read the Dr. Seuss story, “Ten Apples Up on Top!” and giving out books to the children.
Today’s celebration was part of the Read Across America and is celebrated around the time of Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Enjoy the photos below!
