Hartford clinic offers program for smokers

A group program to help people learn about their smoking habits and how to get on a path to better overall wellness is being launched next month at the Behavioral Health Clinic located at 45 Wadsworth St. in Hartford. The free program, “Learning About Healthy Living: Tobacco and You,” will be available in English and Spanish starting April 4 and continuing each Thursday. Sessions in Spanish will be 10:30-11:30 a.m. and English sessions are 3:30-4:30 p.m.

It is for adults who want to be healthy and find new habits that support their wellbeing. Kicking the cigarette habit can be beneficial for adults with high blood pressure, diabetes, weight problems, and cardiac concerns.

The sessions will be led by Case Managers in the Behavioral Health Clinic at the Institute for the Hispanic Family (IHF). To learn more or join the program, call 860-527-1124.
