Have a Heart helps clinic clients with basic needs

Catholic Charities invites you to partner with us for the Have a Heart Campaign for the month of February.

The clients in our Behavioral Health programs at clinics in Hartford, New Haven, Torrington and Waterbury are often struggling with financial situations that only intensify the mental distress they are suffering. Basic essentials like toiletries are expenses that the most vulnerable people in our communities are often unable to afford, especially when the choice is between shampoo and toothpaste or food for their families. The goal of the Catholic Charities Have a Heart Campaign is to provide our clients with packages of essentials so they do not have to make such a drastic choice.

We are asking companies and organizations to support this campaign by donating toiletries that can be packaged by our staff or by making a monetary donation so that our staff can purchase these items for packaging. A bulk donation of goods or an employee drive to collect essentials are ways your company or organization can help those in need. We’d like to distribute these items beginning on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14). Our goal is to not only give people a hand, but also let them know that people care.

To make a monetary donation or receive more information about the campaign, please contact Susan Wright, Development Associate, at 860-728-2569 or swright@ccaoh.org.

Catholic Charities thanks you in advance for your consideration and generosity.

Please share so we can have as many organizations know as possible.
