Emergency Assistance

When an immediate and unexpected crisis prevents families and individuals from functioning, Catholic Charities is often able to provide food, clothing, utility assistance, diapers, rental assistance, budget counseling, employment programs, and other basic human needs through emergency case management and advocacy services.

If you or someone you know is experiencing an emergency, please contact us today. Please be sure to include as much information as possible to help us to understand your emergency. We may be able to either assist you directly or refer you to other community resources.

Please be aware that our funds are very limited, and we must prioritize households with children present. We would love to assist each household, but will do whatever we can with the available resources.

If you are a resident of Hartford, please consider reaching out to one of our Family Centers directly. We may have a number of programs and services that can assist you.

If you are a member of a Catholic parish in the Archdiocese of Hartford, please consider contacting your parish priest to learn more about how to access funds designated for Catholic Charities by the Archbishop’s Emergency Assistance fund.
