Frequently Asked Questions
Will my child’s teacher be wearing a mask?
Yes. All teachers will be wearing masks/face coverings at all times unless outside and able to keep a distance of six feet.
How often will the center be cleaned?
Childcare facilities are intensifying cleaning and disinfecting efforts. Cleaning and sanitizing on frequently touched surfaces will be done multiple times a day. Toys and games will be cleaned and disinfected in between use by different groups of children. Staff will avoid the use of items that are not easily cleaned, sanitized, or disinfected, such as soft or plush toys. Staff will take toys out of circulation when they have been mouthed.
How often will children and teachers be washing their hands?
Children and teachers will practice frequent hand washing for at least 20 seconds. Occasions for hand washing include: after sneezing, coughing, or nose blowing; before handling food and eating; after using the restroom; after touching or cleaning surfaces; and after using any shared equipment like toys, computer keyboards, and mouses.
Who will be in proximity to my child?
Class sizes will be limited, and will include the same group of children each day and the same teachers will remain with the same group each day. Teachers will practice social distancing in classrooms as best as possible.
