We are extremely grateful to be the recipient of a $125,000 grant from the M&T Charitable Foundation’s Amplify Fund that will go toward our innovative BOOST 2.0 program. BOOST is a collaboration among Catholic Charities, the Capital Campus of the Connecticut State Community College system, local employers, and other community partners. It was created to help young parents and their families gain more solid economic mobility.
While it offers job training, it also boosts the entire family by helping them to remove barriers and break the cycle of intergenerational poverty. The grant is expected to positively impact 100 Hartford parents with low skills and their children.

The M&T Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of M&T Bank, announced earlier this month that it was awarding $8.2 million from its Amplify Fund to 68 nonprofits throughout New England and parts of New York.
